TIKTOK CREATORS SUMMIT 

 

THE ASK: B-Roll Capture + Main Stage Capture + Highlights Reel

THE PROJECT:  The #MakeBlackHistory three-day summit, in Los Angeles, was designed to celebrate and motivate TikTok’s community of Black creators.  With over 100 creators in attendance, and celebrity appearances by Doja Cat, Nick Cannon, Tyra Banks, and Terry Crews, we had our hands full! Our minimal video crew of four included two camera operators a DP, and assistant.  The b-roll capture was accomplished with only a single camera operator and DP, and included environmental and decor, guest arrivals, event programming, celebrity appearances, green-room coverage, main-stage content, lunches, breakout sessions, dinners and after-parties. The main stage capture was accomplished as a two camera setup, with one operator. The highlights edit was started on-site and completed within a week of the event.

#OLAYOASIS MEDIA & INFLUENCER TRIP 

 

The Ask: B-Roll Capture + Highlights Reel + Drone + Real-time Social Media Assets 

The Project: Team STS packed out to Sedona, AZ for the #OlayOasis media and influencer trip. The six-day retreat was held at The Amara Resort and Spa.  The destination retreat was designed to introduce the celebrity packed roster to Olay’s new line of sun defense products, by first explaining and demonstrating the science behind the innovation in a simulated laboratory setting,  and then allowing them to experience the product first-hand in the extreme desert sun. Our video team of four included two camera operators, a DP and assistant. Throughout the six-day retreat, we fulfilled numerous content needs. We documented all of the event design, and production details for the event agency. This included atmosphere coverage of all the activated spaces, as well as the logistical elements involved. Our team also followed and documented the media and influencer’s journey throughout the action-packed, and fully immersive program. This included laboratory demonstrations, sunrise yoga sessions, backcountry hikes, hot-air ballooning, helicopter and jeep excursions, pool-parties, and off-site dinners. Lastly, we acted as ghost creators for a variety of the influencers, by creating custom content and providing the assets in realtime, for their posting needs.

The Project: To celebrate the opening of their 52nd property, The Bund in Shanghai, W Hotels created a feeder market tour, in key urban markets. Team STS collaborated with BMF Media, to document the NYC leg of the tour, and create a dynamic highlight cut. The activation was held at the Oculus, in Lower Manhattan, which provided a dramatic backdrop for the custom built 18-foot tall dumpling cart. Read More [read more] Commuters passing though were treated to a fully immersed and branded experience! Brand ambassadors, in costume, were handing out dumplings from world-renown Chefs Danny Bowien and Ning Ma. Hip-hop dancers, acrobats, drag queens, and DJ performances stopped the bustling crowd in their tracks, and periodically, random guests were awarded a free nights stay a W Hotel Property. Our video team of three captured b-roll and time-lapse footage from all angles of the activation and compiled a highlight edit post-event. [/read]

THE PROJECT: Celebrating the launch of  marshalls.com, team STS documented the media preview event, which took place at EZ Studio, in New York City.  The event highlighted the online shopping experience though unique points of engagement. The guests were able to view the new shopping platform through interactive and sharable moments. Our our video team captured the media journey, including an opening sizzle reel, champagne reception, fall style shop, gifting bar, marshalls.com shoe shop, digital bar, styled closets, men’s and kids vignettes, home + beauty lounge, an interactive liking experience, and a closing confetti surprise.

The Ask: Time-lapse + B-Roll Capture + Highlights Reel 

The Project: Smack in the middle of Penn Plaza, a highly trafficked area in New York City,  Aaron De La Cruz was commissioned to use a glass-enclosed hotel room pop-up as a blank canvas, to celebrate 21c Museum Hotels joining Accor Hotels’ MGallery Hotel Collection. Team STS was tapped to create content and document the process. Over the course of the 24 hour activation, we created a multi-camera time-lapse of the artistic process, and captured b-roll of the process, as well as the surrounding event programming, including a VIP cocktail party with an appearance from Chanel Iman, a public viewing area, and over 20 wild poster postings around the city. The time-lapse and video assets were assembled into a highlight reel post event.

THE PROJECT: In celebration of Jorn Lyseggen, the Founder & CEO of Meltwater, releasing  his book entitled: Outside Insight: Navigating a world drowning in data, Meltwater hosted a networking and panel discussion at the NASDAQ headquarters, in New York City. Team STS provided b-roll capture, main stage documentation and a highlight edit, following the event. Prior to the event, we coordinated with the in-house video team at NASDAQ to secure the proper recording platforms and A/V equipment, for filming the main stage content.

THE ASK: B-Roll Capture + Main Stage Capture + Transcription + Highlights Reel 

THE PROJECT: The Trade Desk hosted a panel discussion entitled: The New Paradigm of TV Advertising.  It consisted of industry heavyweights from TechCrunch, The Trade Desk, Discovery, Hulu, Fox, and A&E. The event took place at The Standard Hotel, in Soho, and included a networking reception followed by a breakfast and discussion. Team STS was contracted by The Trade Desk to capture b-roll, main stage content, and produce a highlights reel. Post event, a transcription of the discussion was provided, so that the client could isolate specific soundbites to use in the final edit.

THE PROJECT: The Carto Locations Conference contained more than 270 innovators, practitioners, and thought-leaders from the global geospatial community. They all gathered in New York City and Madrid to discuss how location data is disrupting business, governments, and society. Over the course of two days, we captured b-roll footage, main stage content and testimonial footage from speakers and guests. The objective of this video was to create an inspiring marketing piece, to sell future conferences. Prior to the event, we developed a list of questions, which would provide specific sound bites the client was looking for. Carto Locations used the video on their website to sell the following conference to prospective speakers and attendees.

THE ASK: Pre-Production + Video Booth + B-Roll Capture + Overnight Edit 

THE PROJECT: Team STS partnered with HomeAway for their anual partners summit. This summit took place in Nashville, Tennessee and had a global audience of over 900 attendees. We created a custom video booth, which contained a printed backdrop, and professional audio, lighting and camera equipment. It was a focal piece in the conference center, and attracted a lot of attention, which translated into real engagement. The video booth was designed to gather content from attending partners for two different end uses: A HomeAway TV casting station, and a testimonial booth. Our DP worked closely with a marketing executive, at HomeAway, to construct questions for each of these and help guests stay on course. In the end, we gathered hours of valuable heartfelt content. As the video booth was taking place, our b-roll capture team was busy documenting all elements of the conference, with a heavy focus on guest engagement and main stage content. Working simultaneously to both of our capture teams, our edit team was busy, back of house, ingesting and editing the footage to create a highlights reel to be shown the following morning. We worked through the night to meet our 9AM deadline. The piece was shown in the main conference hall, and received positive feedback from HomeAway executives and attending partners.

THE PROJECT: The Adweek Arc Awards honors the finest branded storytelling, and includes the biggest producers, brands, executives and talent in the business. As part of the annual awards reception, we created an opening mashup edit from all of the winning brands’ submitted advertising spots, including Amazon, AirBnb, General Electric, Modelo, Jet Blue, Target and Zappos.  We worked directly with the event and marketing team, at Adweek, to make sure the piece was exactly as they had envisioned. The final 90-second piece was scored to stock music, and fitted with opening and closing graphics. We also created a 30-second edits for each brand, to be displayed before their award was presented.

THE PROJECT: In partnership with the Freewheel Council, Adage hosted a pre-upfront roundtable discussion, in New York City. Team STS partnered directly with AdAge on this project to fulfill two asks: conduct a seated interview with each attendee, prior to the roundtable, and then seamlessely film the round table discussion. Prior to the event taken place, STS conducted a site visit to determine the optimal lighting, sound and camera package for the space. We also worked with the in-house video team at AdAge to strategize the approach for the roundtable discussion, which needed uninterrupted coverage of all ten attendees. The interviews were conducted with a two-camera-setup, and the roundtable discussion was accomplished with a three-camera roaming setup. We provided transcripts to the end-client for soundbite selection and assembled the edit afterward.

FX TRUST IMMERSIVE DINNER SERIES 

 

THE ASK: Pre-Production + B-Roll Capture + Time-Lapse + Highlights Reel 

THE PROJECT: Team STS partnered with BMF Media and FX Networks to document a series of launch events for “Trust,” an original series which follows the trials and triumphs of the Gettys, one of America’s wealthiest families. We documented the guest’s journey at both the NYC and LA locations and inter-spliced the footage to produce a single highlights reel.  Each event was held at lavish location (The Downtown Association, in NYC, and The Greystone Mansion, in Beverly Hills), which provided an appropriate backdrop. Footage includes guests arrivals though a lush botanical installation, a bejeweled taxidermy lioness, welcome remarks from an “English” butler, themed cocktails, a classical pianist, and a lavish multi-course dinner. The candlelight dinning room, contained large-scale custom projection mapping, which served as a backdrop and transported guests to places around the globe, inspired by the storyline in “Trust.” Each projection was paired with a curated dinner course, and the butler served as a storyteller and narrator. Our video crew documented all aspects of the program including a time-lapse of the video projections, which was integrated into the final edit. FX went on to win a Brand Genius Award under the category “Integrated Promotion” and used this footage in their award presentation.
